Curriculum Vitae

Ruben Favié was born on 30 March, 1979 in Bathmen, the Netherlands. In 1997 he completed grammar school at the Geert Groote College in Deventer and moved to Eindhoven to study in the department of Architecture, Building and Planning at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He obtained his Master's degree in Construction Technology in 2004. His Master's thesis focused on the cultural, legal and economic problems that arise when designers and builders work abroad. In 2005 he started his PhD in the Performance Engineering for Built Environments group, in the Architecture, Building and Planning Department, Eindhoven University of Technology. Along with his PhD study, he worked for 2.5 years as a project manager in non-residential construction projects for Hevo in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. From 2008 - 2011 he has worked as a consultant in Contract and Project Management for civil engineering works for DHV in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. From 2005 - 2010 he has also taught bachelor's and master's students on the Basic and Advanced European Building Process Management courses. He has also supervised the graduation projects of numerous Master's students. Since August 2011 Ruben works as a Development Manager for BAM in The Netherlands.
